I love giving back to the communities, I believe this is my legacy. I often run different fundraisers or support varies charitable initiatives. I’m taking one step at a time to promote mental health awareness through art and clay therapy.
100% of my ART sales are supporting my mission.
I’m a local mixed media artist. I enjoy working with mixed media and draw my inspiration from my multicultural background and love for antiques. Picasso once said “art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life”, and I wholeheartedly believe in that!
I graduated from Polenov Art School with a major in Applied Arts and Ceramics. In 2012 I completed art coursework at Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington, DC. I had international and local solo shows as well as participated in Juried Art Exhibits in New York, Baltimore, Richmond and Charlottesville. In 2020, I opened my home art studio in Woodbridge, VA where I teach art classes. I’m a proud mom of 3 wonderful boys who motivate and inspire me for new projects.
I aspire to create unique, handmade art pieces that would last generations. My signature art is my dry batiks. I age the fabric to give it an antique look and feel. The best compliment I have ever received was at the framing shop, someone asked me: “What century is this piece from?”
I truly enjoy working with a variety of mediums, such as digital, modeling clay, acrylic, ink, and watercolors. I love exploring new techniques (dry batik over “aged” cotton soaked in coffee/tea, decoupage with egg shells, washi paper jewelry making, etc). I believe that working in a single medium or in one technique is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.
